The Kerala-based Federal Bank is inviting applications for availing ‘Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarship’ from students pursuing Medicine, Agriculture, Engineering, Nursing and MBA during the academic year 2015-16. Students applying for scholarship should have secured admission under government quota in government, aided or self-financing colleges from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat during the academic year 2015-16. The annual family income of the applicant should be below Rs. 3 lakh. The scholarship is instituted in memory of the founder of Federal Bank, K P Hormis.

The shortlisted 20 students in each discipline will be reimbursed 100 per cent of their tuition fees, as per the fee structure, subject to a maximum of Rs. 1 lakh per year. One seat in each discipline will be kept aside for physically challenged students, which shall be duly evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of a DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank. If applications are not received from eligible candidates under ‘physically challenged’ category, it will be utilised under the general category. Application forms for scholarship can be downloaded from the bank’s website www.federalbank.co.in.
